Some Crawling and Laughing

Here's another funny one. Little Tate turns one on Monday. WOW...I can hardly believe that. We're hoping Monica makes it back on time--she's supposed to fly into Reno around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, too, so there's lots to be excited about that day!

Tom Petty Boogy

Monica flew to China yesterday morning, and she's working hard at educating educators about study abroad programs and options all around the world starting in about three hours. It's already like 3:30 a.m. Sunday there! Tate's Aunty Caitlin has come to visit for the weekend, so that's helping me quite a little bit.

Here's a funny little movie for you.

April Crawling

Tate's surprising us with his antics: he now points with a finger, pushes his high chair around the living room, and can understand "no," "mama" and "dada" (though he gets us confused...I say 'dada' and he looks for mommy coming up the stairs!), and he seems to like Cheerios already semi-soggy with milk.
He can stand, sometimes, without the assistance of a hand on a chair or a table, until he realizes he's standing without assistance, and then...plunk to the floor.

Auntie Liz's T-Shirt Fits Now

Dear Auntie Liz,

I wanted you to know that the shirt you gave me fits me now.

I miss seeing you and pulling on your red hair. Come to Reno soon. I'll show you all seven of my teeth, and maybe even smile for you, and dad can show you the print you gave him and mommy to hang in the house. It might even be framed by summer, if daddy can get his act together and take it to Turkey.

I hope you like RISD this spring.

Love,
Tate

Merry Christmas!

Auntie Caitlin's Christmas Moose Suit

Dear Auntie Caitlin,

Thank you very much for my Christmas moose suit. I really like it a lot, especially the tuque! It fits my head just right, and I like having jammies that are long enough for my legs. My dad has a hard time picking out clothes that fit me properly because he gets hung up on the labels that say "6-9 months." He's just surprised by how big a boy I am at 8 months old.

Thank you for the moose suit, auntie. Hope I get to drool on you soon.

Love,
Tate
